eSESH is part of the exhibition ”Made in Europe – ICT building blocks tackling societal challenges” from 8 to 10 October 2012 at the European Parliament in Brussels

eSESH has been selected by the EC as one of seven projects to present results at the “Made in Europe” exhibition from 8 to 10 October 2012 at the European Parliament in Brussels.


eSESH has been selected by the EC as one of nine projects to present results at the “Made in Europe” exhibition from 8 to 10 October 2012 at the European Parliament in Brussels. Services piloted at the sites in Frankfurt (Germany), Linz (Austria) and Moulins (France) will be shown to the Members of the European Parliament. Moreover, the about 200 members of the ITRE (Industry, research and energy), TRAN (Transport), ENVI (Environment & public health) and BUDG (Budget) committees of the European Parliament will be invited for a guided tour of around 20 minutes.

Service demonstrations of the eSESH project partners ista (Germany), LinzStrom (Austria) and Real Project Partner Sarl (France) at the exhibition will be interactive. The Members of the European Parliament can access the eSESH services live via multiple devices (TV, tablet PC, iPod and notebook) and interact with the system by managing the current energy consumption of appliances on their own.

“Made in Europe” is an event at the European Parliament which focuses on how research contributes to real-life health, sustainability and mobility applications and services. The exhibition will be opened by Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes, Commissioner for the Digital Agenda in the evening of 8 October 2012.

Real Project Partner is an SME specialized in IT networks (fiber optic, PLC and Ethernet) deployments and services containing fiber and IP. RPP developed a range of energy display solutions that enable energy providers to give the consumers an access to their energy consumptions through existing TVs, connected TVs, game consoles and BluRay players.

empirica is a research and consulting firm based in Bonn, Germany, with a focus on innovation and research on new applications of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and their social and economic impact and is coordinator of the eSESH project.
